A Little Bit About Me

I am one of those lucky people who have had a number of careers connected to the world of books. After university and a spot of travel I began work in publishing, preparing material to help children learn to read. This led on to writing and the publication of my own books for the educational market.

Taking a breather to raise a family of two boys, and more lately, Abyssinian cats,  I have worked as a freelance editor, a school librarian, a reviewer and an English teacher before becoming involved in the public library service. Libraries are so much more than books on shelves. They have become information portals and lively community hubs, so I get to meet all kinds of people – which is brilliant for writing fiction.

I have written two novels, with plans for more, which I hope will one day see the light of day. Watch this space!
